The Fireplace is in!

I allowed John to do this post ;) He originally started this blog, but I have kept up with it, but this post is all his !

When Nola and I were house hunting about 7 years ago there were two things on our wish list. A master bedroom big enough from our king size bed and a fireplace. A real fireplace, where you chop the wood, carefully build a fire and then get to watch it burn. Nothing smells like a woodburning fireplace.

The house we picked had room for the bed and many other things going for it, but it didn't have a fireplace. We assured ourselves that we could just add one. While it only took 7 years but now we have it. Here are some pictures of the build.

We started out by knocking a hole in the wall

Then we built the enclosure for the fireplace

Then Nola talked me into painting most of the upstairs

Last Saturday Dad and I laid the hearth and put up all the stone. Cutting stone sure makes a mess but I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Our first Fire. Mom and Dad brought us some wood from the cottage to get us started. Thanks.

One last picture. Note the coal pail on the hearth contributed by Nola's dad. As a kid he actually used it to shovel coal. Now it will be used to bring in the wood. All that's left is to buy the fireplace tools.

Hudson and Oliver turned 4 on January 13th. These are highlights from their Super Hero b-day. Lots of fun with family and friends. They requested meatballs, perogies,and hotdogs.

My boys are 4 years old today, I cannot believe it!

Oliver, you are so sweet, always giving me hugs, always concerned about mom, taking care of me! You have a sneaky side to you, and you love to joke around, Happy 4th Birthday!

Hudson, you are my protector, you are TOUGH and I mean TOUGH- you are very strong willed and want things your way, I still see that cute gentle side slipping thru, something you probably don't want others to know you have :) I know you will always have my back! Happy 4th Birthday!

Christmas was a wonderful time in our house this year. Our holidays were so much fun and relaxed, I enjoyed every minute of it. Above is Jackson at his Christmas concert for school. Click on the picture to see if you can find him. He loved singing in French about gingerbread cookies!

Look at their smiling faces!! fast forward to about 4 hours later, they boys were running around having a great time, and bam - Hudson tripped and fell, cut his lip open and came home with 3 stitches, poor guy. He was a brave trooper and enjoyed every minute of Christmas dinner!

Jackson may not looked thrilled with his lego - but he LOVES lego, he cannot get enough of it. He has been building away, I've promised him I will post pictures of all the things he has built with his lego!

Just your average Christmas morning. Our family room is in remodel mode....as you can see from the backwall, we are installing a woodburning fireplace. We can hardly wait. Soon it will be here, can't wait to show you the finished product!

Christmas dinner, Oliver hid behind Grandpa, so you can't see him. What a great time, the food was delicious - lots of fun!

Gingerbread House and Christmas Cookies

We look forward to decorating cooking for almost every holiday. Oliver was all ready to go. He said, "I better take my shirt off for this"... he did very well, only one bowl of sprinkles fell to the floor!

Jackson had been asking me for a few weeks to decorate cookies, he was in his glory, decorating and eating the sprinkles.

Jackson Turns 6

Jackson I cannot believe you are 6 years old today. Time has flown by, I can't believe that at this time 6 years ago you weren't even born yet, we had to wait until 1:30pm for you to arrive. Now, look at you, you are in kindergarten. I love you so much, and all the questions you ask, you are a very curious boy who loves to talk, just like your mom. I'm so happy you had a great party, it made me happy to see you loving every minute of it. May this year be filled with happiness, laughter and loves. May it be filled with everything you wish for and more ! You can see from the picture above, so happy with his CARS 2 Movie!

Jackson requested a beach themed party in December - he wanted a swimming pool cake. Getting ready to blow out his candles!!!

Make a wish!!!

The pool cake, I made with oreo cookie ice cream, then filled the buckets with chocolate cake and chocolate mouse, the kids were a bit hyper from the worms and chocolate seashells. A great party, tons of fun. Once all were in bed and the house was cleaned.... A highlight for me, holding my baby niece Alice and having her fall asleep on me, as I watched some TV. Thanks to all who came, Jackson had a great great time. I was so pleased with how everything went. What will we do next year? :)

Tonight was Halloween, we had such a blast, the weather was beautiful and if it weren't a Monday I could of walked all night with my boys. They were so excited and said thank you at each house. Every year it gets easier to just let them run house to house. I loved every minute of it.

Have a Spooktakular Halloween

Happy Halloween! You will have to wait until later to see the boys in their costumes. I just finished our annual caramel apples, delicious!!! White Chocolate coated caramel apples topped with cinnamon and brown sugar, the others are coated in caramel, milk chocolate and skor bits!!!! Good thing I will get up early to do my work out!!! So much fun!!

The boys had a blast with the pumpkin carvings, they didn't want to get messy so they would say, square eyes please..... a triangle nose and then we went on our way, with mom and dad carving the pumpkins. Jackson's is at the very front, Oliver's in the middle, and Hudson's in the back... the back one, needed to have lots of teeth.

A New Nephew

The boys were so excited this week to finally meet their new cousin Will. He lives in Vancouver and was born this summer. Baby belongs to Johns sister Cathy and her husband Jamie, just in case people are wondering who had this new nephew!! This week was their first time meeting him and they loved it!! They adore him and just wanted to hug and kiss and hold him all the time. Lots of love to you Will - we hope we can see you more and more!!

I had to add in the other shots with Will, we tried a few times to get a serious picture but these funny ones make me smile!! Welcome to the party Will - I think you boys will be up to lots of mischief!!

Autumn has arrived, and we are loving every minute of it. I'm sure the boys get tired of mom saying "wow, look at the leaves", "isn't it beautiful", Autumn is my favourite time of the year. We headed out to the corn maze this afternoon, with our friends Jonathan and Karen along with Jessie and Josiah. The kids loved it. Enjoy the Pics!!! Ps.... Pizza, Pizza, Pizza -- and Cottage Fun

I don't know if I have ever mentioned the love of pizza in our home. Almost every Friday is pizza night, sometimes we even have pizza 2 times a week. I wouldn't say that pizza is my #1 favourite food but I married a man who is in love with pizza. I think he could eat it everyday and I think that when I was pregnant with the boys he would secretly talk to my stomach while I was sleeping and repeat the words "pizzza......goood". The boys love pizza, they love to make it and go to restaurants and eat it...... we plan one day to install a pizza oven into our house, as long as I can have whatever I want on my pizza, I am fine and hey, it's an easy meal and keeps everyone happy. Here we are at the cottage - we spent about 10 days out there and we always make pizza - here are some fun shots - Jackson with his fav...... bacon and ham.

This is year 4 of having our good friends Jonathan and Karen to the cottage. Each year we get together it gets easier and easier, we had a BLAST this weekend, so much fun, so many adventures and so much laughing. We ended up having a pirate adventure, Karen and I headed out in the kayaks and then the kids and the dad's came later in the smaller green boat and robbed Karen and I of our gold chocolate coins - don't mess with these pirates!!!!!!

We had one day that got very cold, John thought we needed a fire in the morning and taught Jackson how to prepare and make a fire - he's very good at teaching the boys all these neat things!!!!!

The kids went on a hike with the dad's that morning and explored the island!!!!!

Disaster Ahead!!

I was going to take an after shot but John was telling me to help them and clean it up..... I just wanted ice cream and he hesitated saying it might not be a good idea, every time I look at the picture I just start laughing....Jackson kept saying, "It just keeps dripping, I can't stop it"..... I think I was laughing more b/c John just kept shaking his head, but I had wipes and cleaned it all up - he wanted no part of it ;)

Jackson, Oliver, and Hudson had their summer picnic at daycare, it was so much fun, cotton candy, bouncers, hotdogs, cake, games and pony rides the boys loved it!!!! Here is Hudson on Wally!!!!

I had a rough day at work a couple of weeks ago and John sent flowers to me, these lilies opened up so big, they were beautiful!!

I was trying to get a nice picture of the boys before church this morning and I wanted to get one of Jackson's new fedora hat - which we think is pretty stylin', it was a task to get them to stand straight and not be silly but as you can see from the bottom picture there wasn't any serious photo's to be taken :)

They are laughing so hard b/c John ran up behind me and yelled something like poopy pants and before that they were all saying poop, penis and bathroom words -------

Mother's Day 2011

Well this was a fantastic mother's day. I woke up with my boys bringing me a cup of coffee, a soft white robe and the tiara on my head - "mom, you are queen for the day, you must wear this tiara all day long and you cannot do any work :)"
I was then treated to homemade french toast, fruit, bacon!!! I got some beautiful homemade gifts, gift cert to my favourite store RW&Co. and do you see what I'm holding.... YES the Michael Jackson game for our xbox KINECT. I love it, you dance and sing it is FABULOUS.
We went to Jackson's piano recital and then out for pizza at garbonzo's - and to our surprise, pizza's on Sundays are 1/2 price after 4pm!!! WOOT WOOT
What a fabulous day, I love my boys, I love being a mom, I wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING!!!
Thank you John for making this a great great day, I LOVE YOU!!!!
I also forgot to mention that yesterday, I went to the spa... 1/2hr.massage, 1 hour facial, and 1 hour pedicure!!! It was amazing and I really took some time to relax!

I just bought this wall stencil/stick on this past week. I actually bought it for my classroom and loved it so much that I bought one for home for the boys' play area. I even got a great deal on it - $2 at the Dollarama store - so that even makes me feel better . Who knows it may look like a $2 wall sticker but what matters is - - - - - I love it!!!!

Jackson has been part of a 2 year program at our church called Wee College and it has been fantastic for him. A big thank you to g-ma and g-pa Bowering for giving up their Tuesday mornings to transport Jackson to and from his classes. Thank you so much and thank you for giving Jackson the opportunity to partake in this great program!!!!! Jackson graduated this past Friday evening and then today in church he sang. He did so well. Good Job Buddy!!!!

Yes, I know it's been awhile, and I take full responsibility for that, I am trying to get better at updating the blog, I feel it's my "baby" so I better get at it. I don't take as many pics as I used to but at any rate, here are some pics that I thought were blog worthy!!!

Hello everyone, well I have to say that 1/2 of November til now has been a bit of a roller coaster. We were all hit with the flu and really bad cold's, which we're still struggling with. Jackson turned 5 and now Christmas is upon us. 2010 has been a great year with even a trip to Cuba. Enjoy the pics below, I will post Christmas pics later on!!!

Jackson turned 5 and got the pirate ship he wanted, he had only been asking for it for the past 6 months. It was a fun time with good food and great friends.

Here are all the friends that came to celebrate, Jackson requested hotdogs and pizza bagel bites plus many fun snacks, the kids really had a great time!!!

I have to say this cake isn't one of my proudest moments, the cake just didn't seem to turn out the way I wanted it to. One of the guests even said "what's it suppose to be..." but not soon after that Jackson's best buddy Josiah came up the stairs and looked at it and with a big WOW he said, It's a rocket cake..... well I think that was the best statement of the night, Josiah you made my day, thank you so much for being a sweetie!!!

Well another Halloween has come and gone, tonight was a bit chilly but as you can see, Winnipeg costumes come equipped with scarfs and mittens!!! Jackson wanted to be Mack Truck again and Hudson and Oliver still loved last years costumes, so it was pretty easy for me. Next year will be the stresser trying to think of 3 cool costumes but hey I have a year to think about it. Life in our household is busy. Jackson is in swimming lessons and piano lessons, loving every minute of it. Hudson and Oliver are in bunk beds and are thrilled to pieces about it. Hudson is on the top and Oliver on the bottom, (the cave). Soon birthday parties for John, Jackson, Oliver, and Hudson, plus Christmas, I think I need a trip to the spa!!! We are loving every minute of this adventure and wouldn't change it for anything!!!!! Only a few pics this time.

The boys were so fun to watch this year, especially Oliver and Hudson. Last year we pulled them along in a wagon and they would slowly walk to each door. This year they were running to each door, screaming "trick or treat", having a blast, so great to see they big boys they are becoming!!!

We continued our tradition at our friends place, trick or treating, eating lots of delicious food, and those caramel apples, covered in white chocolate, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar... I am not eating anything this week!!!!

Something is up with my blog post, the above picture was suppose to go in the middle but not sure what happened, so my usual commentary is below

I have probably mentioned this many times in the long time that we have had this blog but I LOVE AUTUMN, if I could have it my way, I would want fall until December 1st then it could snow and snow. I love the coolness in the air, the crisp mornings, the colours changing around me and going for walks with a nice sweater drinking a pumpkin spice latte. We went to a corn maze/petting zoo/hay ride place and it was great. A beautiful afternoon, spent with great friends. I put a pic of Jackson's grad from his old daycare. I don't know if I mentioned it before but all 3 boys are in the same daycare and it has been wonderful. Happy Fall to all of you and hopefully I'll have more posts this season!

After the grad ceremony a majority of the parents and the kids went to Boston Pizza, from my perspective it was a gong show, my kids were CRAZY - I felt very overwhelmed, it was like my boys took a dose of "CRAZY PILLS", hopefully the other parents didn't care.

Cuba

Finally, here are some pics from our trip to Cuba. We had an amazing time, the weather was unbelievable, over 35 everyday with some days over 40,it was so nice to get away and just have some relaxation time and time with John. I love my boys dearly with all my heart but this mommy needed some well deserved time on a beach, thank you John for the great b-day present, this is a trip I will remember for a very long time!!!

Here is a pic of the pool, it was huge and we walked past it all the time on our way to the area where we ate.

Here is the opposite view of the pool, as you can see we are tucked away in our own little hideway, if you look at that hill in the background, we hiked up it one day and got some pics, it was so nice that we had no other resorts around us, just peace and quietness, exactly what we wanted!!!

Everywhere we looked everything was so lush, the grass, trees, and flowers were beautiful!!

THE OCEAN - so beautiful and blue!!!

This was the first view I saw when we arrived at our resort, I just sat and looked at the ocean and thanked John for bringing me on this trip, it was a long day, arriving at the Winnipeg airport at about 4am - so after flying for a long time, it was so great to see this picture - I felt like it was a dream just to see the ocean so close.

The coral was amazing, I couldn't believe all the colours, we snorkelled so much on this trip, it was amazing!!

This was the view from our room, we paid for garden view but got upgraded to oceanview. It was so nice every morning to pull back the curtains and stare off into the beautiful blue ocean!!! LOVED IT - everyday I kept saying, "I can't believe we're here!!!!"

We had a big rain storm one afternoon, everyone one cleared off the beach except us and 2 other couples, it was great just sitting in the rain!!!

Here we are out one night at the Italian ala carte restaurant, it was delicious!!

After the Italian meal we walked past the main eating area and saw it was "Cuban Night" I had to get a picture of this guy!!

Here we are at the top of the hill that we hiked up to. It was so hot this day, and the view was well worth it.

Here we are in Havana, it was another hot hot day, but we had a great time touring around Havana, here we are atop a hotel that Ernest Hemingway stayed at for I believe 5 years.

Summer Fun

Summer fun is upon us and we are having so much fun I have been neglecting the blog, this is ok b/c the blog can wait while I have fun with my boys and I am on holidays too so I need to enjoy this time as well. We have been having a great summer. The boys are getting into everything and enjoying every minute of life. I turned 35 this July and John surprised me with a trip to Cuba for 1 week at a resort without the kids, we will be going in a couple of weeks and as much as I know my heart will be missing these little boys, this trip is one that is well deserved and most needed for John and I. I promise to post pics of the trip when we return, plus I'll need at add some videos of Hudson and Oliver singing. The video on this post is one John made back in December I just forgot to post it. The boys were home one day with John a bit under the weather but it is a cute video they love to watch over and over again. Enjoy all the pics and I'll try to get better at updating this blog.

On Canada weekend, I was busy in kitchen and looked over and this is what Hudson decided he needed in order to read, I guess the soft padded chair wasn't good enough and I don't even know how he got up there and managed to stay still and read his book.

My 3 sons on the elevator lift, I just look at them and can't believe how big they getting, look at Hudson in the middle, he seems to HUGE to me, right now H+O are eating 2-3 bowls of cereal in the morning, what will life be like when they are teenagers - they'll have to have jobs at restaurants so they can have their meals there instead of at home :)

Karen and Hudson

We were treated to fun this past weekend when a man who lives on the other side of the island used our backyard as the landing pad for his helicopter. He is having a 10 day birthday bash and is renting a huge yacht with private chef and transporting people in on this helicopter. John and Jackson got a ride, very exciting!!!

At first they just wanted kids in the helicopter, Jackson was all for it and even Oliver said " I want to go..." but as soon as the door shut the above picture is what happened, so John gladly took Oliver's spot.

The man you see sitting beside Jackson is the man who is having the part!!! We were very lucky he offered a helicopter ride to Jackson.

The cottage (grey/blue) then to the right is the guest cottage. We felt this was a good picture. We feel very blessed to be able to come out here and have so much fun!!

Jackson in the helicopter. For those of you who do not know Jackson, he is a chatter bug - (I think he gets it from his dad ;) ) John said the whole time Jackson was in the helicopter, he didn't say one word.

Here is Hudson roasting, I mean burning marshmallows. He had no interest in eating them. He was just fascinated with shoving them in the fire and letting them burn to a crisp.

Once again so excited to roast the marshmallows, he would burn one have me take it off then go to the bag and start on another one.

Making cinnamon/blueberry pancakes. Hudson is honestly my little helper. He loves to help cook, move boxes, he wants to try vacuum, such a good little guy!!!

Where one helps there is another to be found, thanks Oliver for mixing that batter!!!

SAND

As most mom's who have only boys or even have 1 boy, they know that .....they love DIRT, love, love, love it. My boys can't get enough of it. Dirt, mud, sand, you name it they love it, and they love to eat it, dig in it, scoop it, put it in their pockets, fill up their dump trucks, and most of all they love to track it all over the house which drives me CRAZZZZZZZZZZZYYYYYYYY, I find sand everywhere, when will it end.
The sand box we had for the boys was very small, so John took it upon himself to build a MAN's size sand box. It is great, the boys love it. John did such a great job building it and then we let the kids paint it and they have been enjoying it ever since. I am so happy they have so much room to play and dig and have tons of fun!!! The Thursday before Mother's Day, I had 2 of my wisdom teeth removed, one of which was on the lower right hand side which was impacted and in sideways. I spent all of Mother's Day weekend in bed and then the rest of the following week recovering. My mouth feel's 100 times better and I am getting better at eating all foods. I got tons and tons of hugs from my boys over my recuperation, thanks to John who was amazing and did so much while I recovered. Love Ya very much!!!!

Here are a few shots of our family. Most recently was Jackson graduating from his first year of Wee College. Wee College is a weekly Sunday School Program at our church for 4 and 5 year olds. Jackson has completed his first year. We are so thankful to Grandma and Grandpa Bowering for taking Jackson each week to this program. John and I work, so we are unable to take him. Jackson has learned so much in this year and we are so proud of him. Jackson loves going each Tuesday with Grandma and Grandpa, he enjoys spending time with them and having some interesting conversations, every once in awhile they treat him to Wendy's (his choice). This is very special to him, he doesn't stop talking about his lunch dates with Grandma and Grandpa. There are some pics below from his performance in church and from his graduation the previous Friday, also some pics from Easter.

Hi Everyone, I love being silly, we are all playing in the back room in the basement, mom tries to keep the back room nice and tidy but can you see in the background that we have destroyed it. We love to go and play in the back room and make a big mess!!! What fun!!!!

We are starting to notice that Hudson has quite the temper, we're not sure where it comes from but we are attributing it to the terrible 2's :) Enjoy the pics!!! Oliver and Hudson love lasagna, Oliver is the only one we could get a picture of, Hudson refused. Oliver loves eating pasta and will eat more than John!!!! We finish off a whole lasagna at supper time with enough for the boys lunches for daycare. Man if we polish off one lasagna now, I better make 6 when they are teenagers :)

Over the long weekend Jessie and Josiah and their mom and dad came over, we had a movie night with popcorn, cookies, and pink slushies. We has a great time just vegging out !!

Mom fell asleep on the couch so I snuggled up with her, it's me Hudson!!! Mommy says I'm such a snuggle bug and she hopes I will continue to give her snuggles when I am older.

One Saturday morning I was busy cleaning the house and came downstairs and found Oliver out cold in his chair, he pushed it back on the floor and had a catnap, I'm not sure how long he was sleeping like this.

We went sledding with Jonathan, Karen, Josiah and Jessie over the long weekend, what fun and such great weather. Thanks for the great time guys!!!

Hudson and Oliver turned 2 on January 13th, 2010. These past 2 years have flown by so fast, I can hardly believe it. We celebrated with a Mickey Mouse themed party on this past Saturday, my boys are so big!!!

I look at this above picture and cannot believe how little these 2 monkeys used to be. Now, they are running and getting into EVERYTHING and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. Jackson loves his little brothers so much and our lives have changed with having twins. We are incredibly blessed and so thankful for these two boys!!! Enjoy the pics!!!

On our actual birthday mom made our favourite - spaghetti bake, it was delicious, I kept wanting to put my hand in the fire, but mom wouldn't let me.... I just wanted to see if it was hot:)

Mom bought these cupcakes and I chose the one with the Dora ring, I think Hudson got the Winnie the Pooh one, I'm really happy mom made me spaghetti bake, I could eat it every night, it is a bit messy, but that's ok.

Here's our crazy mom again, she worked very hard for our party, she kept saying, I'm so happy I didn't have triplets...what does that mean.... a party for twins is like having 2 parties, it can't be that stressful, can it ?????

This was after all the gifts had been opened, I had to go thru everything later that night, to look at everything again, things were a bit CRAZZZZZYYYY - but a good crazy, I had so much fun and I love throwing parties for my kids, it is one of my favourite things to do as a Mom.

Hudson got a tigger and Oliver got an Eeyore, I thought I'd match the characters on their toothbrush, sounds like a good idea right?? Well they fight over that tigger, they could care less about Eeyore, I think I may be heading to the Disney store to buy another tigger :)

Hi it's me Jessie again - Oliver's girlfriend, I have a secret, whenever we come to John and Nola's I like to find Oliver and get into things like tonight, we opened up the cooler, decided it would be fun to scoop out the ice and play in the water. Honestly I just call out to both of them and one of them usually joins me in a little fun, they are they best!!!! Thanks guys for playing with me and having lots and lots of fun!!!!

Christmas at the Bowerings

We had a fantastic Christmas this year, I will have to post more pics later of our Christmas eve, but these will have to do to start. Christmas eve pics are stored on g-ma and g-pa's camera. We have had a wonderful 2009, we are incredibly blessed and wish you all a very happy 2010.

This was our Christmas card photo this year, along with 3 pics of the boys!!! We tried our best to get all to look but I was satisfied with this photo.

Hudson and Oliver, love to help in the kitchen, this particular day they were in their "terrible two's stage" so I let them stir bubbles while I cooked supper and they were content and didn't want to leave at all.

We are starting to potty train in our house, and I have to admit that potty training 2 kids at the same time isn't the easiest task, I am taking it one day at a time and both Hudson and Oliver are very much interested in it, so wish me luck and send a few prayers my way :)

We got an incredible deal on a bouncer for the kids for Christmas, it wasn't quite fair to them to open the gift and then say "wait until the snow melts"... so for 3 days we blew it up in the house and they went CRAZY - they loved it. It is now packed away and they will get to use it in the new year. At first I thought we were crazy to blow it up in the house but I have since talked to a couple of mom's and they said "we put ours in the house all the time" so that made me happy!!

Christmas morning, we had the Disney Parade on in hopes to see the boys' buds Bryan and Tara-Lynn - we hope they had a great time visiting Mickey and Minnie!!!

We went over to Grandma and Grandpa Bowering's in the afternoon of Christmas Day for a great turkey dinner, the boys LOVE LOVE LOVE to play the piano with Auntie Georgina!!!

Gingerbread House

Here is our first attempt at making my first ever gingerbread house, cousin Jay came over to help, we had a great night and had lots of fun :)

Jackson couldn't resist all the candies, he had so much fun putting them on the house, he wanted to use every last one of them, and sample a few along the way.

I really like how much Jackson enjoyed this activity and I think this will become a yearly event in our house.

No Hudson or Oliver in this activity I think they would of gone bonkers if they would of seen all this candy!!

Jackson keeps saying he wants to eat this on Christmas eve, we'll have to see about that!!!

Well I can hardly believe that 4 years ago, Jackson was born. He is such a big boy now and I just cannot get over how fast time has gone!!!! Here are some pics from his party and his monster truck cake

Mom keeps saying we have to read the cards first, I'm trying my best to be patient but I just want to rip open my gifts!!

Jackson had so much fun at his party, thank to all who came and for all the great gifts you gave Jackson!!!

Jackson wanted a monster truck cake, here is my attempt at it. He wanted it to be green and purple. When he saw it, he clapped his hands and kept telling me how much he loved it. Later on the in the day he said, mom it could of been bigger, aren't monster trucks suppose to be big? Good thing I got a good night sleep and didn't remind him that I was up late late late trying to carve the cake and ice and make it look as real as possible!!!

The wheels are actually doughnuts, I like the dirt bottom!!

I think my favourite part is the lights on the top and the windows, the grill and the #4 and of course the cream cheese icing.

Hi Everyone, well I am taking advantage of the time change, we have been up since 6am (I know most of you will say, well really thats 7am) but 6am is 6am. The boys do not care about the time change. So as they are watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, I am updating the blog, finally!!!! Life again has been very busy for us and I don't think it is slowing down any time soon. Hudson and Oliver are now in there big boy beds - they look so little in those big beds. They are doing well with the transition and we still have more accessories to add to their room but after many hours of painting, the mural is finished!!!! I think it turned out awesome and am so glad we did it. Halloween is also finished and the kids got 4 huge bowls filled with candy, it was crazy - I never remembered getting this much candy as a kid!!!! They are set for a long time. John's b-day is coming up so we will go out most likely to a pizza place on his actual b-day and then we will have a family party later on. So after John's b-day is done preparations start for Christmas decorating, Jackson's b-day, Christmas shopping..... YIKES Someone told me there are only 8 Saturdays left until Christmas .......I feel like time is flying by......We hope you all are doing well and enjoy the pics... Life in the Bowering Household is FANTASTIC and like I always say we are way way way more blessed than stressed!!!!!

Hudson and Oliver recently got tattoo's at daycare. Now here's the thing, I am not sure who is who's girlfriend. The two girls they have an eye for are Ayla and Riley, so as you can see from the next two picks Oliver had Alya tattooed one his arm and Huson had Riley tattooed on his arm . I need to talk to these boys and I've talked to Ayla and Riley's mom and told their girls to "BACK OFF" :):):):):)

We celebrated Grandma Bowering's b-day back in September and this is the cake mom made for her, it is a tiramasu cake, it turned out great!!!!

Josiah and Jackson went out on a date with their mom's to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. There must be something very exciting on the screen, look at the trans there are in :) I love it!!!!!

Karen and I had so much fun on our date with our little men. There were so excited to get their own snacks and they took everything in.... when the movie was finished they applauded and yelled "YEAH" They had so much fun, I can't wait for them to see Cars 2

Summer

Yes I realize again what a long time it has been since my last post, but here is my reasoning.... I want to enjoy as much as my summer as I can and my time with my little men is very short so I feel the blog can take a back seat and no one will mind :)

I have to say we have had a fantastic summer, even though the weather may have not cooperated I feel we took advantage of the summer and it has been great.

We spent time in North Carolina, North Dakota, hung out with many of our friends, and we had many great trips to the cottage. I even swam in the lake at 63 degrees. Even though some weekends may have been a bit cooler at the cottage, it didn't matter to us, we always had a great time, the kids enjoyed the water and even if it rained, it was still fun to stay indoors and relax. Complaining about the weather won't get me anywhere, and I feel really lucky to have a cottage to go to, so I will always try to enjoy it no matter what the weather brings. John's mom and I swam so much in the rain, it was FABULOUS!!!!

The boys have been doing so well..... Hudson and Oliver are very stubborn boys, Oliver tends to pick on Hudson quite a bit and they all get into trouble on way or another. The boys are done with their soothers and done with their sippy cups!!!! Whoo Hoo

Jackson and I have been going on weekly "dates", we have enjoyed our shopping time and eating out together. He is such a cutie and always make my days with comments like "mom you make the best lunches ever" (even if they are macaroni and cheese with hotdogs, I love to hear these things) or if I ask him if he'd like mac and cheese, his response is "I think we can do that !!"

Hudson and Oliver are soon to move into their big boy beds, stay tuned for pictures of their new room, I am very excited about it.

I also surprised John last week with a hotel room and Grandpa and Grandma Bowering stayed back at the house and babysat and had a overnight with the 3 boys. This was our first overnight away from all 3 boys and I was so happy I surprised John. He has been so patient and I just wasn't ready a year ago to leave my boys but this year I was and so I booked a room!!!! What a great surprise for John!!!!

I have 1 day left of my summer vacation, so I'm a bit sad, but I am also excited about the fall weather to arrive and just spending more time with my boys. I have added a few random pics below, ENJOY
